Hempfield: 'Eyes' on success

The Hempfield Spartan Band will "think pink" in upcoming performances as the colorguard squad displays a new set of pink silks during a special routine. As the band's 113 musicians perform the recent hit theme to the James Bond movie "For Your Eyes Only," the 28 silks, 16 majorettes and 11 rifles will perform a routine that will dazzle any superspy. "For Your Eyes Only" will be the Spartan Band's grand finale in their repertoire


Hempfield Band Sells Sub Sandwiches
Originally posted in The News-Dispatch, September 9, 1980 The Hempfield Senior High Band will hold its First "SUB" sandwich sale on Saturday, September 13th. The subs, despite inflation, are still priced at $2.00. They will be as large and delicious as in past years. Customers not contacted by band students should call 527-2729 or 834-7973 by Monday September 8th. Money raised from this and future sub sales will be used for the annual band trip.
