COVID-19 case counts in ALL states are now increasing significantly. This causes an increased risk of spreading COVID-19 when residents travel outside the state or visitors travel into the state. Because of this increased risk nationwide, a negative test result or quarantine for all travel from out of state is now required.
Preliminary studies of aerosol dispersal in wind instruments suggest social distancing of 6 feet (trombones should allow 9 feet in front of them).
Bell covers are highly recommended as "masks" for the instruments. Bell covers can be made of multi-layered high denier nylon material and provide a barrier for aerosols.

For woodwinds, we are taking the following precautions:
Flutes/Piccolos: because of the horizontal "spray" of your breath, we moved your spacing to 15 feet last sectional. Some face shields will work. We are looking at several other ideas as well.

Clarinets/Saxophones: Your dispersal isn't just at the bell, but throughout the length of your instrument. It is suggested that you play your instrument "In a bag" A cloth covering would be preferred, but a plastic bag could be disposed of each time.
